Hey Everyone, just got a new-to-me Deluxe and would like to get some chrome work done....switch housings, lower legs. I've contacted Plating House in GTA but, they are very expensive.
Anyone know where to get it done in Ontario reasonable?
Unfortunately most chrome plating is fairly expensive.
You could try Midway Plating in London Ontario on Colonel Talbot road.
They have a website at midwayplating.ca
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Terry
You can likely get new parts or take offs from this site or flea bay way cheaper than any chrome shop in Canada, only a handful of places left that chrome and they know it...

I'd prefer to stay in the GTA for convenience and cost.
Thanks,
Just had a very bad experience with Plating House. They have a NEW OWNER now, and this guy is very arrogant and condescending. When i called him about chrome work, his 1st comment is....do you ride in the salt? What's that all about???!!!! Not only is it not relevant, it's none of his business when i ride. His next comment was....well, i have to decide IF, i want your business BEFORE i give you a quote. What??!! So, i played along to get a quote. I then compared to HD dealer for NEW products and wow, the price was within $50! AND, i only had to wait 3 days to get it.
OK, that's enough. I called the local Harley dealer and bought new chrome with warranty and NO ATTITUDE. The parts came in 3 days later....not 4-6 weeks...and the dealer HELPED load the products into my car! Great service!!!
Plating House built up a very good business from the ORIGINAL OWNER. This guy is riding on their coat tails of reputation. Also, while the ORIGINAL owner of Plating House did excellent work, there is NO GUARANTEE that the new owner will continue with same quality of work. Based on his comments/attitude, i don't believe his work will be as good. Take your business elsewhere.
Wow I just looked at his price list and can't believe how expensive that is. I used to use Platingmaster in London but that was years ago and I don't know if they are still around.
It may be well less pricey to buy new from HD or aftermarket [can't believe I said that]

Agreed. HD is back on the radar, which is incredible. If you walked into PH showroom you would be appalled. The place is a dump. It's dirty, messy, stuff lying around everywhere...and you're paying huge money to wait 4-6 weeks....with attitude.
