It was a sad day, but finally stored the Harley at my local dealership. Long range forecast is for single digit temperatures in central Ontario, no purpose in waiting any longer.
Had nice riding weather in Sept. and October, the rest of the year was garbage.
You're a more tolerant rider than me...I'm getting to old for the cold riding crap. Here in NE the temps are dipping into 40's so I got mine ready for winter hiatus yesterday...last ride in 50's to get fuel/stabilizer, changed oil, cleaned, lubed, jacked-up, tender connected, covered & sleeping comfy in garage.

I share your sadness Douce. Same type of forecast for here in Southwestern Ontario, so as you say, no sense prolonging the agony.
I just posted in our thread in the Road Trips section.
The Harley is all tucked away in the heated man cave ready for next spring.
Skiff of snow yesterday, but dry and sunny now. Today is the last day of insurance, may have to take a short spin in the brisk fall air, after all it is facing the wrong direction in the shop.
Dry roads , sun shining , couldn't let a little thing like 28 F stop me from getting in a ride .
Got out for about an hour in the afternoon , then filled the old girl back up , just in case this was the last ride of the season .
