First ride of the year yesterday. I was dressed for the cold but very windy, regardless, nice to get out. Got to use my new Shoei RF 1400 helmet, very nice and quiet, problem was I couldn’t get it off without tearing my ears off, going to have to experiment inside the house.

Well... Old mother nature put a damper on this year's riding season. Couple of feet of snow yesterday. The shot below is me clearing the driveway. The path to the road is to my left. Had a lot to clear. It was -10c with a 30 Km/h wind.. (Chill -17c)

Last year I had a whole month in the saddle by now.. Only used the snow thrower twice last winter

Got out on Tuesday past ,beautiful day. 200 km to break in new tires, rebuilt top end and shake off the brain's cobwebs. Doesn't look to promising this coming week

First ride today. A little chilly but I suppose that is the duration. At 8°C not the 8°C itself. Managed to go 325 km - 200 mi ish.

Lots of new things I guess - but a long time friend lost - my pocket knife.

For some reason I moved it from my pants pocket to my chaps pocket. Feel like an idiot, no one got hurt. Looked for it on the return home, and my wife and I did a short drive to see. It's just a knife, not a person, not a pet.

Stupid thing is I cared that knife 99/100 days. I could buy a new one but - it was bought for me by my late parents-in-law. Anyhow - feeling shitty about it.

Motorcycle ride like a Swiss watch and the new rear tire should be good to go.

I guess it's time to shop for a new knife - just not tonight.

Glad I'm riding. Yay 2022. Time for a real road trip

I know how you feel. Lost my Leatherman Wingman last week, I had it for 7 years wore it to work everyday.

I went for a short rip yesturday morning, it was very chili. The Bike said 6 C, finger tips went numb turned around and headed home.

Preping the Turkey for dinner now.

Happy Easter yall.

Another 4 inchs of snow yesterday. It'll be at least a week before there's much riding in Manitoba.

Loooong winter this winter. Now I hear of new Covid variants in Shanghi and UK. FFS - hope they don't shut it all down again. I've got some plans this summer. Last two have sucked...
I've heard and seen a few hearty soils out on the street prior to mid April. Not many now though since it's gone back down below freezing most nights. Probably wait till May begins to start scooting around. Then there's the gas price. Hahaha.
