Carb Problems!

Carb Problems!
I have a 1997 FXDL that is all stock. When I started it up for the first time this spring it ran like crap so I took the carb off and cleaned it. Ever since I put it back on it will run at idle with the choke on, but if you give it gas it dies and if you turn the choke off it dies. I know that carbs are very sensitive so I made sure that I put everything back in the same as it came out, but I must have made some kind of mistake. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it might be? Thanks for any help!

Kona74 thank you very much for the help! I flipped the needle tube and it worked. That little silver piece will sure fool a person. That was the one thing that fell out when I took it apart and it looks like it should go in the other way. But I guess you live and learn. Thanks again for the help!
