Default Where the heck does this brass collar go in a CV

My father and I were tracking down a fuel delivery issue and he disassembled the CV carb and carelessly dropped this brass collar or bushing and couldn't find where it went. I've googled for similar info and looked at expanded diagrams comparing with my carb without luck. Any ideas? Thanks

The black cap that is on top of diaphragm. It goes in the screw hole that holds the cable tower. If you are looking at the front of the carb, it would be the rear, right hole.

Just a heads up - not all CV40 carb tops use that collar.

Yeah, it fell out before the diaphragm was opened. So that's the mystery.

What is the mystery? The collar is not underneath the diaphragm cover, it is on the outside.
