Tony, RELAX!!!!! Ya can't get rid of the Check Engine Light. Ya can only hide it. Pull speedometer off and carefully remove the bezel, lens, needle and face plate. Hole the face plate close to the inner unit with all the LED bulbs. When ya find the one for the CEL, put black electrical tape on it. Reassemble and turn on ignition. NO CEL!!!!! Had the same problem with my 07 Dyna EFI to Mikuni conversion. CEL will be on because there is no feedback from all of the engine sensors. Basically, any EFI to carb conversion will do the same damn thing. I did my conversion at 36,000 miles. Got 107,000 and still runnin strong.
thanks for that TST, yeah i did remove the clock but as you know its a sealed unit, will pull it apart in the winter time and do the black tape trick
I like your dyna looks good in black, i'm just waiting for a used tank to turn up in black as i want mine in that colour, can't find a WG rear mudguard though so i'm gona wrap it for now, couldn't bring myself to paint the bodywork on the bike as its a really nice job, so putting the blue/white kit to one side. changing the look of my WG to a more fat bob style.
I'm just putting my nose where it doesn't belong, but I like the blue and white better.
yeah everybody says to keep the blue/white, but its too late its now BLACK but i haven't painted the tank or front guard, got replacements, i couldn't find a rear guard so had to paint it !!!! its now just how i like it but the option is their to go back if i ever wanted too.
