I was told this assembly was off a 65 Panhead and it looks right but it's been a long time so I'm not positive. Anyway this is a very nice cover and backing plate especially considering that it's over fourty years old. Of course it's not perfect but if it was it wouldn't be real. I doubt you'll find an original cover and backing plate in better condition. I do not have the spun brass air cleaner insert.
This cover works very well on an SE intake,you just have to space it out about 3/8 so the filter has a little more breathing room. I ran it on my Dyna for a long time.
This is a 1961 Panhead and the air-cleaner looks the same.
