Hi, I hope you can help me in finding the color codes for the 1936 EL Dusk Gray and Royal Buff colors. Dupont Colors as shown below.
Many thanks in advance.
my guess its color rite - john pierce who supplied the paint -
normal quart is 300 and some colors are 300 a pint from him - note - if you do not have the receipt from john pierce for the paint - an amca judge will take points off in the discussion of whos paint is it when it does not fall into the correct color Hue < yes they do know
over the many years I have seen people do some stupid $hit when it comes to a bike color - if you don't follow the norm do be pissed - its the way it is - your new at this my guess
hears the reason - even is you were able to come up with the correct color dupont numbers NO one today has the conversion formulas to todays paint pierce did this eons ago

Thanks John, I am not bothered with the color authenticity as I am converting a Xbones in to a VL design, just looking at the closest possible shades.
regards
to each his own - paint today is 3 to 4 thousand to do a bike and that is on the cheap side
don't be offended but we are from different ends - you could be taking about a twinkie as we don't let them in my shop ether what ever is a X bones and how did it loose them
