Default S&S engine forums?

Hey everyone,
i have a bike that I bought recently that's got an S&S motor (2001 I think) bit I'm struggling to find much info about it as an amalgamation of an S&S engine with Patrick Racing pistons and barrels and Arlen Ness covers.

Anyone have any suggestions of forums where I could get some info on S&S motors? (Google doesn't seem to helping much)

Thanks in advance.

I would say ,just call the factory .It looks like you are in England though .My bike has a 4 X 4 100 inch S & S we built in 2003.It vibrates way less than anything else I have owned in over 50 years of riding, excellent power ,as in not being beat but once, by a lighter 126 inch powered bike. Is it reliable ? Yes it is .Replaced a bent push rod 7 years ago. That's it. So now you know a little about S & S.Not bragging. The engine is a very soundly engineered. No S&s did the engineering .

I phoned the S&S factory and the teck department looked up the serial number on the motor and told me every thing about it along with some additional advice. Very helpful great service

You might try as was suggested and call S&S Cycle or email them. Post here as there are some members that have a lot of experience with S&S motors.

Also put the serial number in here.

As well maybe look around here.

Default Compression Release

I have the111in V-Series with automatic Compression Release Valves and my question is, are automatic and manual Compression Release Valves basically interchangeable? Not that I would want to switch back and forth but, I'm kinda partial to using that starter push-button, as I understand that in order to be wired correctly so the valves open and close while starting it isn't possible to use the starter button, I use a momentary button on my coil bracket.

What you typed makes no sense. Try and explain it better.
