My kawasaki vulcan mean streak. I know i know its not a harley but it eats harleys for lunch nowMy hubby and some of his friends made it a project. I bought the parts but didn't have to pay anything for laborthey basically totally rebuilt the engine replacing the pistons and cams with Thunder customs and reported the heads. installed a Thunder airbox and custom exhaust. the results? Madre de Dios!! it has twice the power of stock!! I don't think theres a cruiser out there that can beat it except maybe for the really expensive custom ones. I know I know i didn't do the work myself but hey im a chef not a mechanici know i really have no right to brag i just wanted to share.
I'm a troll for liking bikes other than Harley? If you read my earlier posts youd know i own a harley to. 07 1200N. With all the choices of bikes out there why limit yourself to just one brand? thats like insisting on eating nothing but chicken and ignoring all other meats. If enjoying other bikes besides Harley Davidson makes me a troll then i guess im guilty as charged. Thats the last i have to say on this topic
A lot of forum members own "other" bikes, but it is unusual to discuss them on this "HD forum". You had to know you'd get less positive reaction here than if you posted on a "metric" forum. I've ridden or owned bikes from Aeromacchi to Zundapp, and enjoyed them all. But most of the people here are interested in Harleys and many are defensive about other brands. I read most posts of interest and your's obviously is one. No need to pay attention to the negative replies. Ride safe!
Isn't this the "custom forum"? How come there's a problem when a metric bike is mentioned but all other customs are accepted?I see threads about SuckerPunch,Ironhorse,Bigdog and every other manufacturer, as well as home built chops being discussed.WTF?
