hey man... this is actually waterman7474, (i'm having "issues" with my old username retrieval....)
anyway...i've also just gotten a cb350 for the chica to ride. it's a 71, only 1k miles...still had the original tires. my buddy owns LVDynoTech and helped me do all the work.
put on new (retro) tires, rebuilt the carbs, cleaned out the tank with muratic acid, new cables, new battery, new air filters and some new shortie mufflers from jammers cycles. runs like a little champ!! i'm actually surprised at how quick it is!!
i've got new bars that should be here today, kinda tracker/drag bars, bar end mirrors.
i'll get some new pics with the girlie on it when it all gets sorted out
also, i was gonna cafe racer it but i paid 800 for it and running as is...i've already had someone offer me over 2 since it's almost completely stock!!
but if i do, here's some of the look i'm going after
also, i've got a mess of good links for parts and stuff, shoot me a message at
waterman7474 @ yahoo"DOT"com and i'll hook you up.

that was exactly the kinda site i needed for that bike.
after that, i don't know if i have too many links that you couldn't already get from that site. actually, it looks like they might have better resources than what i was getting!
hey bud i have tons more! i ride with a bunch of guys that build and ride old cafes... i can help you with a ton of stuff! let me know! a few years ago i took this one from a bar bike that the wheels would not even spin to this, took a total rebuild! but... and MAN that 750 was FAST!
i redid EVERYTHING ON THIS BIKE! weeks and weeks of polishing and crap.. ooh ya... check out that rattle can paint job!... join the site and PM me so we can shoot some ideas back and forth... you will love building this little cafe! i have always liked work on them
used to look something like this... but worse!
ok... got the frame all buttoned up with a bit of help from a buddy and his brother that is just amazing with a welding gun!!!! dropped the seat pan down 2.3 in, opened up the lower back tubes 1.5 in, then added in a cross brace support, patched the front where the cuts had to be made to bend down the seat pan, made some tryangle side plates to support the rear end... (rear end was cut off a while ago)... then just smoothed it all out... got to make some spacers for the shocks and weld them on but it is going well and has a GREAT STANCE (see the pic on the trailer) coming along! final mock up, dissassembly, and paint is next!
welded and smooth waiting on side plate
how is that stance for you!
and the night would not be complete unless we screwed somethign up... we ran out of sun light and pulled his car and my truck up... lights on... got the bike loaded up went to leave!... yep, two dead batterys!
