On japanese bikes, there's a king of rubber bumper between the rear pulley and the rear wheels.
HD don't have and that's why we need very good chains...
beuz,
D.I.D. huh? Thanks, I'll check 'em out. I'm always looking for a better chain.
dog155,
Back when you were using rear chains, did you have a favorite?
Actually back when I was running chain,I used a high quality non O-ring 530 chain. The reason, because of the severe use it got with my strokers. At the end of a tough day, lift the rear of the bike and lube the chain with a lube that congealed and very little would sling off.The next day drop it on the floor and put the hammer down. All chains on my bikes wore out sooner than expected.Today with belts unbreakable (correctly maintained) no need to think about it.My 155" Road King has a Kevlar 1 1/2" belt, the weak link on the bike now is the tire.It will break loose way before it ever comes close to hurting the belt.Good Luck
