Well I'm headed for my chopper this weekend. I sold my '08 Softail. I know what your thinking.....but I still have a backup Katana for any long trips or whatever. Always wanted a chopper. I put on about 8000 miles a year but most is short trips. Only bummer is I'm headed for North Carolina and expecting rain. Only have an open trailer.
Sorry to hear. Buy a kit or build your own over the winter. My buddy has a bigdog and it's pretty nice. I wouldn't mind having one but right now my fatbob is more practical for me.
Good luck with yours,
Tim
I have an 05 LSC (rigid). I love it and don't mind the ride, but apparently the ride is much worse for the passenger then the driver. Some guys may not mind that but I like having my girl with me. If I had it to do again I'd probably get something with a softtail design just for her comfort. She much prefers to be on my Harley. Lots of great deals on Texas Choppers out there.
Tennessee Motorsports in Franklin, TN is getting out of American Ironhorse / Texas Choppers and has deals right now like I have never seen. About 15 new 2006 & 2007 on clearout. Might be worth your time to give Raullo a call.
i wouldnt worry about it. it is a buyers market. a lot of people buy them then sell them after they come close to being hit by a car or fall over in the drive way, scars the hell out of them. you should be able to find some smokin deals out there.
I did what someone told me not to. I Bought my bike off Craigslist.com it actually runs like a bat out of hell being chased by a nun. I can outrun alot of people on this bike.
I love my Custom, BBW Fat Daddy...but it takes a great deal to keep it at 100%
It requires more maintaince than a Jewish Penthouse centerfold with a rich daddy..
and its not like there is a BBW dealer on every corner like HD, thus getting parts can be a chore
If I had to sell one of my bikes today...Id miss it, but it would be first to go
