This is more of a custom job so I'm asking here too. I'm going to clean up my handle bars this summer and add 16" apes, part of it is losing the hand brake and combining front brakes with the back brake. What size master cylinder will I need? Stock rear brake, dual front brake. Any particular valve brand anyone recommends?
for some reason ....I think you will end up like your advatar...... .. . . .. I would rather run with no front at all ....than to have them tied together.......... . . this is something I have never heard of on a bike................ . . . . ..
I know that pococj is going to try to run both brakes on his bike from a handlebar master cylinder. You might try to pm him and ask about running brakes off the rear master cylinder...that was his original idea until he ran into a snag with his application.
lot of people do this. you may have to add a separate adjustable proportioning valve to the rear circuit.
unfortunatly this is where my help stops. havent had my paws on one to see.
i know goldwings had the rear m/c run one front disc and the rear disc while the front m/c only ran the other front disc
gonna take some more research but deff. possible
are you gonna go internal throttle and twist clutch too?

Doing internal throttle but leaving the clutch the way it is. I like the clean bar look but not bare.
+1 man you can not limit the pressure to either so when you are crushing on it you may lock them up... not safe
Forgot to add the part about the brake proportioning valve. It lets me set the bias. I'm starting 60/40 front/rear and working my way up from there to find what works for my bike.
