Hey all, kinda new here, just browsing through and saw this topic. I just bought an 01 FLHTC, and have owned my BigDog Ridgeback a little over a year now, It has the 117 engine and Baker 6, and I must say, this thing will absolutely rip the lips off my Harley! I guess that is to expected though! The ride is not bad for a rigid, just watch out for the manhole covers and potholes, they WILL make you cuss! These pics are right after I bought her, I have since added the sissy bar, luggage rack, pad, and TBag all for the low price of $1100 (parts are not cheap for these things) also had the seat reupholstered in a distressed brown, I will post some updated pics soon. ( I am considering selling this thing to buy a new RoadGlide, I love this bike, but I love the comfort of the big hogs!)

Thats a great looking chopper! If I may ask, how's the handling compared to the Harley? I've never ridden a chopper before but they look like they are a lot of work to muscle through the turns, especially sharp ones! Good luck in your decision and I am sure you will have no problem selling that bike if you choose to.

 

Handling is much better than you would expect, I live in Colorado and ride the twisties a lot, it aint no sportbike, but you can have a ton of fun on it! they have really engineered these things better since the old days, and the ride isnt all that bad for a rigid.

 

Have to steer them rather than lean em in u-turns and parking lots, but great at over 15 MPH. Big question is why you would buy one. You can build a chop based on a Harley cheaper, and it doesn't look like a "factory" chop. I built this low-rider for $7000 over the cost of the Harley (Took me several years, cause i couldn't buy all the parts at once) and I never had it off the road for more than a couple of days during the build (Cept for paint)
