Naw, Springer95, maybe a rigid is not for "Traveler". If he can influence you on what NOT to buy, maybe you need a Toyota. They are safer and more comfortable. Ride what you want. I put a sprung seat on my rigid and it is very comfortable. I have a bagger for long rides. Rigids rule. Baggers are for 1000 miles or more.

Nah, it's not that Traveler is influencing me on a personal level, but I know NOTHING about rigids. His post and others that chimed in pointed out some things about rigids that I was not aware of. Hence, maybe they are not for me. Maybe I'm a pus. I'll see if I can give it a test ride.

I've been interested in picking up a SPS for a couple years now. The local BigDog dealer has a couple for sale. It's the classic model. chrome springer front, mini apes, Black w/ yellow flames. Brand new, 1 year warranty. $13995.00. Does anyone have any experience with these? Like 'em? Hate 'em? Price seems pretty good to me.

Opinions?
Is this for a NEW SPS? If so, $13,995 with a springer front-end is a steal...

I paid that for my used 08 66 Bobber with some paint damage. I love mine it's a head turner for sure everywhere I go. I say go for it 100%

Yeah, I saw that on their website. Real cool bike. Unfortunately, there is not one for sale for $13995.
