Default Pully/Wheel Combo

This might be a dumb question, but, will the rear pulley from a '99 or earlier Softail fit a dual-flange rear wheel from 1980. H-D has a 1"-1.125" pulley for under $150 and I want to use it to get a little more tire clearance without going to a chain.

It just might, can you measure the diameter of the hole on the sprocket and your wheel?I bought a bunch of early pre 99 Road King pulleys and machined out the hole to fit my 02 and 06 bikes.Good Luck

I'm not sure of the "80" hub register size in comparison to the 99 wheel. However not to worry as Vulcan Works (http://vulcanworks.net/Pulley-Spacer...0-p-1-c-2.html) sells adapters to use the various year rotors and pullies on various year wheels.
