chain dirty before clean (amazing what soaking it in some simple green and using a soft bristle steel brush can do)

chain clean and on and freshly lubed

I pulled the bike down and the new kick stand, PERFECT! for once my measurements where spot on, the weld angle is spot on for the foot, and man is this sucker low!!! i am not to crazy about the tail light and still may just tint or paint that and leave the ends open... but that is all to come. here are some pics, i know some of you where not feeling the headlight, but i have to say, i love it! LOVE IT!, the bike had 3 cars stop to check it out just sitting outside. i thought that was pretty cool!

keep in mind the wife is 5'2 and was in flip flops, this sucker is LOW

it is a bit dusty from blowing out the shop, but the guages look great! still need to powder the top resivor but the new brakes work AWESOME!!!!

not to sure about the back end

cleaned and ready for work!

wife had some time and so did I, so she wanted to take out the cafe, she hopped on the enfield, and i tossed an old set of clubmans on the KZ, and we went and found some good twisties to rip on for a few hours

ok... so since i am still waiting on a gasket i figured i would get as much done as i can! so i did... only to find, i have a bit more work ahead of me. I got the lights hooked up all the wiring done... well kind of. the tail light worked great! i had to open up and re solder the front brake light switch, bt that sucker works now... I added in my turn sigs, using some of my 10mm hyper bright LED pods, with wired in resisters.. and here is where the problem comes in...

the prev owner must have fiddled with the wires, when you turn on the left turn, works great! but the right, all 4 turn sigs flash... no big deal just got to get a wire diagram from somewhere and fix it.

everything else works great! when i click the run button i can hear the fuel pump prime, driving and brights... the whole shabang!

got the header on (new exhaust gaskets), as well as the muffler on the bike, fresh oil change, mirrors on, grips on, stator put together and on, fuel tank in, and some other odds and ends!

here are some pictures!

tail light (turn sigs on the the lower section of the liscnse plate bracket... yes they are small but MAN are they bright!!!

tail light on (before i installed the turn sigs)

stator cover and header

I used to check out a street fighter forum and wasn't ever impressed by the work some of the members did. This thread is really enjoyable though. The bike looks great and it's really cool how you take the time to do it right. Good luck with the rest.

more pics... still have more to do before show and shine but... it is getting there! also had a great idea for the stand... made it work! had to make a bracket and get some hardened bolts, round htem off on a grinder... but got it to work out just fine! I also think i am going to drill out the top tree and go with a flat tracker bar, get rid of the clip ons

close up on the "made it work" solution
