Slightly wrecked my (non-HD) softail last summer. Took the opportunity to convert it to a bobber. It sat till October cause I didn't have time or $ to work on it. My riding buddy and I have been working on it over the winter as time and budget allowed. Just about done. A friend in OH painted it for me, waiting on the clear to setup now so he can cut and buff before sending everything back to me. I wanted old school... decided on gold metalflake with some flames. Attached a pic below of the front fender. Hell I wasn't even going to run the front fender but after seeing how it came out I guess I gotta...lol. I realize this paint won't be for everyone but I really like how it turned out and think it'll fit the bike well. Also attached a pic of the seat that a friend of my painter buddy did for me. I did the pan and then he covered it. Dye is still wet in the seat pic so it looks a little funky, but it'll dry uniform.
Hopefully when I get it all back together it'll look as good in real life as it has looked in my head for the past 5 months. Had some glitches along the way but worked thu them and pretty proud that we did everthing ourselves except for paint and leatherwork.
Getting pretty anxious, in another couple weeks I should have this together and back on the road just in time for spring.
Thanks guys. Finished it last tuesday got about 300 miles on it in between the rain last week. Runs good just gotta tweak a couple small things, nothing broke yet so thats good...lol.
