Default Paint and Chop ?

I ordered my 180 tire and am wanting to chop my back fender. Is this possible without destroying my paint ?

yes however you will have a nice bare metal edge where you chop it. Just gotta tape up the fender good along the line you plan to cut.

Like the man said tape it up, draw your line and cut through the tape. You could probably touch up the edge with a Q-tip.Or mask the whole thing off and spray the edge.If you have to do any touch up or smoothing to your cut leave the tape on for that too.

Never done it but I imagine you would want to go slow and use a fine tooth blade. Total un-educated guess though.

You will create a bare metal edge. Ideally, for the best long term durability, you'd want to feather away from that edge, scuff the whole fender and reshoot both base & clear. You'd shoot the base on the edge and then feather it into the existing base, then clear the whole thing.

You could use a touch up brush to apply a dierct-to-metal primer to the bare metal, then do the same thing with a single stage paint that matches the existing paint. I think it would look like ***... but, if you take your time, it might work OK.
