Default BDL Open Drive W/1" offset

I am in the middle of a custom build and installing a BDL Open primary drive. The tranny is offset 1" so the BDL front pulley needs to be offset 1". Can someone point me in the right direction to locate a spacer for this application? I have found some on EBay but not too sure this is what I need, and the guy doesn't appear to be very helpful either. It appears you need to drill and tap the front pulley in order to install these spacers he has. But he says the spacers dont come with any instructions. I could probably figure them out without too much trouble, but want to make sure I am ordering the correct item before I put out the dough for them. I am also looking for instructions for installing this drive. I picked it up new, but 2nd hand and it didn't come with instructions. Also looking for the BDL site (if they even have one).. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks

Hello forgwash. I'm cant answer your question today, but I CAN monday. I just started working @ R & B CUSTOM CYCLES in oklahoma. We have installed many BDL drives. I can get your spacer for you and the correct advice on installation. I personally havent installed one with the offset yet. But If you can wait till monday, I will be more than happy to try and help. Feel free to call me @ 1 (405) 631-1218 monday. If I cant answer your question, I KNOW Greg Baker the owner can. There are many smart techs on this forum. I will need to know what kind of tranny you have. GOOD LUCK

Baker 6 Speed in a Jim's Gears Tranny, and the engine is a 107 TP... But it's the offset that I am trying to get a spacer for... The offset part is on the end of the crank-shaft, Primary side. Sure, I can wait til monday no prob. And I can give you a call..! The tranny is offset from the engine 1".. ie. I have a 1"offset tranny plate. I appreciate it! Looking forward to talking to you on monday.

Thanks much...

After talking with ToolBox and Greg Baker, it appears I have an old style BDL front pulley that does not allow for an extended spacer. They are great to work with and provided me with the parts to offset this 1"..!!!! Great help and thanks to those guys in OKC. Check out their stuff... rbcustomcyclesokc.com Nice Bud Bike build off bike. Thanks much again guys!!!
