Default FXR Engine

Was out in the shop, coldassed day here, dusting off the new bike, ...looked over at the old FXR and decided to rub on it a bit. Got totally carried away. Lol. Polished up the chrome,
Wiped down the frame,
Waxed up the tank and fenders.
It's amazing, that 30 yr old chrome looks as good as that on the new bike!
NOW? What can I do to spiffy up that dated looking engine black? Anything other than s100 brightener? Pull the engine and repaint it? (Lol, not willing to go that far!?) . Thanx.
