my first attempt, went pretty good
I washed the entire truck with Reset using the two bucket method.
Then I singled out one panel.
Used Gyeon Iron remover. About 30 seconds after i sprayed, small ribbons of purple started to appear.
Next I clay barred the panel.
After that, I used Wolfgang's Total Swirl remover with Griot's Orange cutting pad. Then Wolfgang's Finishing Glaze with a Griot's Foam finishing pad.
Used BlackICE as LSP.
Took a while to get the hang of how much pressure to apply, didn't really get the hang of it until I was done with the swirl remover. I did better with the glaze. I learned a lot. I took on too much at once. Should have done it in halves instead of all at once.
before.... a bit hazy
little different angle, but you can see the reflection is notably clearer
Next time I'll do better, but for the first go, I'm happy. I'm going to be practicing a bit more.
I got a 3" Griot G8, not gear driven, good for my bike, way too small for a car or truck
I have the G9, the 6" version on the way, if it works like the G8, I expect it to be a great tool as well
I'm glad my wife's 300 is black, I'm really excited to see what I can do on a color that hides no mistakes. No guts, no glory!!!
Tape line to separate areas is what really shows what's going on.
Looks like you are getting the hang of it!!
