Default Ultima Paint Guard Plus

Hey All, When do I use the Ultima Paint Guard Plus?
My Bike is Vivid Black, waxed regularly with Carnuba wax.
Do I put the UPGP on top of the wax ?

TIA

hey bud, definitely not on top of wax

before putting it on a painted surface, you need to clean it well, I wouldn't put that on without at least using a prep solution to remove oils and such as well

Well crap, I just finished waxing. How long will it take for wax to wear off and please suggest prep solution I can get at the autoparts store?
I'll be washing like every other week due to bugs.

Thanks Buzz!.

Looks like Ultima has a paint prep solution that is formulated to work with the Paint Guard

that wax can be stripped easily with a good top shelf wash

autogeek.net is a good resource

Dawn will not remove wax that has been put on recently. Over on autogeek, guys have tested this theory and their findings show that dawn leaves a film on the paint. This film inhibits water beading, so people would think that the wax was removed.
A strong dilution of dawn can/will degrade wax, or remove wax that's on its last leg.

To ensure wax is removed, polishing is the "Sure" way to go. If I were attempting to remove wax with just a spray like Prep-All, I would wipe the paint down 2, 3X with it , maybe more

could you hand polish with a lightly abrasive polish?

as well, would something like that Reset do the trick?

I'll just wait a bit for the wax to wear off. Don't like rubbing the vivid black.
Thanks all
