Default New Detail

I took eaglefan1's advice on what products to use and how to use them. It was the easiest detail job I have done on my bike. Sounds like a lot but the CarPro and Ultima are so simple to apply.
These were taken this morning. Can't wait for later in the day to get a couple pictures in the Sun.

Washed with CarPro Reset.
Cleaned with Carpro Eraser twice.
Put on 4 coats of Ultima Paint Guard Plus
Cleaned all metal and chrome with Optimum Metal Polish
Leatherique applied to all the Leather
Many thanks to Eaglefan1...

Looks really good. Nice paint job, with an amazing shine. You did great!!!!

We need more posts like this in the detailing section here.

I use Reset. Not for every wash, but when I'm going to put some effort into the outcome. It is a great wash and I as well, heard about it from Eagle.

Thanks for sharing.

CaffeineBuzz, he recommended for me to use the Wolfgang Rinseless wash on normal everyday cleaning.

CaffeineBuzz, I was going to give 100% of the credit to eaglefan1, but after a lot of thought, I remembered he did not offer to ride over to Jax Bch and do the labor for me for my first time to see how it should be done by a professional.
So I have to be honest and only give him 85% of the credit. I need at least 15% for the labor and Mistakes I won't mention which he gave me advice on correcting.

Great job! All I did was make some suggestions. You put in the time and effort.
Paint Guard has been around a while but still works great. Very easy to use and has good longevity. I always loved that hard candy look it gave

eaglefan1: It looks even better after a couple days of sitting in the garage. I guess the Paint Guard Cures after a day or so. It has that Candy Look you were referring to.
Unfortunately it is tooo Pretty to ride out of my garage in the open air with dust and bugs. I ride it to the garage door and then walk it back to the rear of the garage and then ride it back to the door. keeps it cleaner that way.
Actually due to the last couple days I have not had a chance to ride it. Is there any advantage to gloss or hardness to put another coat of Paint Guard on while it is still perfectly clean? Or is there a point of diminishing returns where
you don't get any noticeable gain?
I owe you a few beers. O' That's right! Harley owners don't drink.

No advantage to another coat, 4 is all it needs max.

Has anyone tried Alumaguard protectant on Fatboy aluminum wheels? I know it is big in the marine industry for protecting aluminum on boats.

Hello sir. I have not. Marine environments can be really hard on aluminum so it makes sense that it could work.

Brake dust is really hard on any surface, along with dirt and dust from the road. There are coatings for wheels made with that in mind.
