Luckily the rear , for some reason or another doesn't get as much grime or brake dust on it as the front.
I've got just the opposite situation, the rear gets dirtier. I'm sure it's because the saddlebags restrict the airflow in the rear and the brake dust gets trapped in there.

I think the initial cleaning wasn't that bad, considering the music, 5 gallon bucket, and cooler of beer that I had handy. But it did take some time until I figured out the tricks of using the lace. I will see how it goes next time. I intend to do this atleasttwice a month until I see that I can go a little longer.

Me too with my '06 RKC, I've assumed it's because of having double the potential for brake dust on the front wheel as opposed to the single brake on the rear.
