Been waiting for the weather to cool off before I did this car. 2016 Cadillac ATS-V. Twin turbo V6 6speed manual. Car has 12,000 miles on it and a ton of car washed induced swirls. Check out the before pictures and you will see what the "Swirl - O - Matic" car wash does to paint. Owner wanted me to get the paint as good as I can get it.
Process - Wash - Iron Remover - Clay alternative were needed.
3 test spots were done and We had a winner, but it would require 3 times around the car.
Flex 3401, wool pad and Menzerna FG400. This was to get as much of the swirls, rids, and defects out.
Medium polish step was done because I wasn't happy with how the finishing polish turned out. Flex with orange pad a Scholls Concept polish

Gyeon Prep wipe down 2X. Coated with Gyeon Pure Evo. **I got an old or bad bottle. This coating has been super easy to use the 5 previous times. This time it was a royal PIA to remove. It was 70 degrees and 55% humidity, so it wasn't the weather. I can coat a car this size in less than an hour, it took over 3

As you can see, the paint was hammered. This was over the whole car.
As you know from working on that truck, its not easy. Takes a lot of time and effort, but the results are worth it. I really like working on black paint. It doesnt hide anything, it is what it is.
