Default Which stainless bolts?

I have seen polished stainless bolts which still have the knurl and show polish stainless bolts which have the knurl ground off. My engine is black with the polished fins and I need some opinions on which stainless bolt would look the best. Thanks for any opinions.

I'm in process of replacing most of the bolts on my motorbike to the 12 point.Diamond Engineeringhas all diff types polished sst bolts for your bike. Kinda pricey but they are good quality and no more torx bolts is the best thing.

www.alloyboltz.com

I just installed a engine bolt kit from these guys, excellent product, well labeled, and all bolts correct size.
These guys do either curling ground off or polished with original curling.
As a heads up, make sure you put anti-sieze / loctite on each bolt or your never gonna get 'em out again.
Stainless reacts to alloy like a redneck at Woodstock......................

I bought the complete S/S polished set (allen head) from diamond engenering for my 2001 nighttrain back in 01 and they still look as good as NEW 7 yrs later, I did put lock tight on all bolts & nuts before installing. The only problem I remember having was that the timing cover bolts were to LONG and I had to cut them down.

I also used the 12 point Diamond Engineering stuff. It's good but it isn't cheap.

Diamond engineering bolts are some of the best out there. The stock factory bolts will not hold up to the weather/engine heat, and will start to oxidize and developwhite powder deposits. I have seen this on bikes kept outside and in the garage. I have used both the allen head and 12 point on different bikes and they look as new as the day I put them on. Be sure to use Loctite/graphite and torque them properly. Had a set originally on a 95 FXD, switched them to a 99 FXDX and then to a 2002 FXD. No problem.
