Question Remove light from 2 Sided tape

New to the group. I have a running light mounted vertically on the back of my saddle bag with 2Sided automotive tape. I need to remove it and remount it on my new saddle bag. Any suggestions on how to remove it. The lights 2 x 8 long.

Welcome to the forum. Hair dryer will usually loosen it to the point you can peel it off by hand, worst case use some floss or fishing line. Goo Gone or similar products will easily remove any residual glue.

Welcome.
To remove parts applied w/double-sided tape I use a piece of dental floss or fishing line and carefully "saw" through the tape.
This will leave a layer of tape and adhesive residue on both parts that still needs to be cleaned off, but it gets the parts separated quite well.

If using any heat, be careful not to heat one spot too long. Welcome to the forum from New York.
