In the video, you rubbed the pipe down with something at the beginning of the video, before you started using the Meguires (sp) polish. Just wondering what it was. It looked like alcohol or something like that.

No problem. I used Never Dull in the video and I use it primarily to give the chrome and brushed aluminum a general cleaning. I don't use the it everytime I clean the bike - just if if needs it.
I'll use Mequire's to remove blemishes if they're any.
OK... this may sound harsh but removing scratches and gouges from chrome is the same as any other metal refinishing process. If the scratch is deep you can start by using #0000 stainless steel wool covered in any type of autobody polish (as a lubricant), don't let the polish dry.
Once enough material is removed, or if the scratches are minor,switch to a cloth type buffer wheel on a high speed drill or dremel and use tripoline as a cutting agent (polish)... to finish, use jewelers rouge on the buffing wheel. It will look like glass when done.
