Default shine gone

Ive seen bikes that have been driving in the rain, along with myself, and there bikes seem not to have as much road grime on it as mine does. Is there some kind of secret polish or wax I dont know about or what?

The better your protection, the less that will "stick" to your paint. A slick paint (polished) and quality sealant and/or wax will do wonders for how your bike responds to rain. I your protection is still good, one measure of that will be when wet tiny eraser size beads of water will be sitting uniformally across the paint on horizontal surfaces.

Same with chrome? What polish do you use to try and stop this?
