Went to clean and detail my 05 1200R model sportster this weekend. I have the stock wheels on the bike and there starting to get a buildup of brake dust on them in the cracks. A real pain to get out, Thank god there not Spoke wheels. Anyway went to the auto parts store to buy some wheel cleaner to clean them with and ran into a issue. The fronts of the cans say Safe for All Wheels But on the back in the fine print it says Dont use on MotorCycle Wheels. This was on Every wheel cleaner spray I looked at. Whats up with this crap. Why cant I use them on motorcycle wheels and what does everybody else use to clean there wheels with. The Toothbrush thing is getting Old [:'(] Anybody got any Good Ideas on this subject. Thanks in Advance.....
I buy it from my local HD at a discount. Dennis Kirk has a good price on it... http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...eafCatId=22201 just put this in a regular pump bottle or sprayer. I put it in an air pressurized sprayer. It works awesome!!
This is going back quite a few years but Simple Green is AWSOME. I bought a jap bike that had been improperly stored and cleaned everything with it. Even soaked the carbs in it and they looke almost brand new.

I like Simple Green as well. You REALLY need to be careful with it. I etched the glass on a windshield with it once. It's very strong when used full strength.
Simply green I know of But have never heard of bike bright.
Is this something that Harleys dealers normally carry. Can I
get Bike Brite at other stores. How are these with paint or getting
on the engine cases. Any problems here.
If I use a pressure washer do I have to worry about overspray getting
on the paint and hurting it. I usually hand wash the bike but want a
Good / Fast cleaner for the wheels. Thanks....
