Default Polish

I just bought Griots Garage 3" random orbital to clean up my 03 and 01. The 03 bagger is vivid black and needs attention.

Last night and this morning I've gone over it with Harley's Swirl and Scratch remover. Nice but not complete. Then tried 3Ms Finesse-It. Nice too.

Any suggestion for getting the paint perfect?

John

Would suggest you go to Zaino Bros on line. They make the best products for your bike. They have several that will remove the swirls - that work!! Not a dealer for them but have used their products on many bikes and cars - i just dont think there is anything that compares!!

Good luck.

Try Pig-Snot if you can find it. Some dealers carry it.

Default paint swirls?

Im an automotive painter and can tell you that if you have paint swirls it means you need to get a color sand and polish. You usually get swirls and spider webbing from washing or cleaning your bike with cloths that are a bit too coarse. I bought myself some of them nice waxing cloths at sams club. you get a pack of like 30 for 12 bucks and they last forever and stay super soft even after you wash them. i also recommend maguiers final inspection cleaner. Even when my bike is super dusty i use final inspection with a soft cloth, it removes all the dirt and dust without scratching the clear coat or causing swirls/spider webbing. it also works great on all the chrome. leaves evrything like it just got waxed. If you do decide to get your bike color sanded and polished make sure you seal it with a good wax, this will help against grime and oxidation, and dirt from sticking to your paintjob, also bugs.

You could try the Glare products. They have a swirl and spider web compound and other products as well. I have only used their polish and it stands out above all others that I have used.

I second the Zanio Bros wax and cleaner. I have used it for 8 years with great results. The wife loves the way her purple sportster shines. The more coats she rubs on the deeper the paint looks.
