simple green
Just bought a gallon of simpe green. The application to cool surfaces seems the same as the t100. The directions advise cutting the green 1:1 with water. Should this be done or like t1oo, apply directly. thanks
I use it 1:1 on grease, and 1:4 on lighter dirt. I keep it in a pressure sprayer and wash down the motor/wheels/underframe with it.
Most of the gunk just washes off with water after that. No touching.

I would highly advise using a quality car wash/soap after using it on paint. Also, after clean, try using a good car sealant to any parts oyu can, really helps prevent the build up so the next cleaning is lots easier.
the army will no longer let us use simple green to clean any rotor wing aircraft or components because it was found to be a highly corrosive product......of course helicopters and scoots are two different animals but its something to consider

Aluminum - Is it safe to use Simple Green on aluminum?
Simple Green products have been successfully and safely used on aircraft, automotive, industrial and consumer aluminum items for over 20 years. However, caution and common sense must be used: Aluminum is a soft metal that easily corrodes with unprotected exposure to water. The aqueous-base and alkalinity of Simple Green or Crystal Simple Green can accelerate the corrosion process. Therefore, contact times of All-Purpose Simple Green and Crystal Simple Green with unprotected or unpainted aluminum surfaces should be kept as brief as the job will allow - never for more than 10 minutes. Large cleaning jobs should be conducted in smaller-area stages to achieve lower contact time. Rinsing after cleaning should always be extremely thorough - paying special attention to flush out cracks and crevices to remove all Simple Green/Crystal Simple Green residues. Unfinished, uncoated or unpainted aluminum cleaned with Simple Green products should receive some sort of protectant after cleaning to prevent oxidation.

I dunno... 10 minutes?
If its on my bike for 2, thats a long time.
I spray it on, when I get to the end of the bike, I do the other side, then hose it off.
I wouldn't leave any degreaser on for 10 minutes. It would most likely dry on the bike and look nasty as well.
