Default Black Denim Care?

I just got my blk denim "bob" last Thur. and if you look on page 150 of manual the inst. to clean are a little strange.
It recomends dishwasher detergent for the finish and s100 for the rest.
How the hell are you going to clean the rest of the the bike without getting s100 on the finish?
I'm hopeing some of you guys that have had the bike longer than I have can tell me what your using or share some ideas

Thanks

Eddie

Eddie I use Dawn apple scent to first clean the entire bike, It cuts the road grime very well and is an excellent degeaser. I wouldn't use anything with lemon scent in it , lemon or any citrus tends to fade paint over time. I wash using a micro-fiber towel. Then I dry it with a dry micro -fiber towel. I have not used the S100 as of yet. I then use a product called Nevedull on the chrome and I use Pig spit, I picked this product up at the Harley shop but I have since noticed thar Wal-Mart carries either the same or a similar product, on the blacked out engine parts and outter walls of the wheels. It can also be used on chrome and it has very little to no overspray.

This is a picture I took just the other day after a good cleaning because I got caught in a rain storm and the bike was filthy!

I hope this helps you. Ride Safe and Keep'em Clean,
Later,
Matrix
