Default Cleaning Leather Bags

Hi All, My name is Chet,FNG from Mi. Just got my bike home Saturday, a '99 1200 Sporty with 5400 miles. It's a beaut!Anyway, the previous owner applied small stickers to the leather bags, and to the tank !! Just wondering if there is something I can use to remove the gooey, rubber cement like residue left from the stickers. I have not tried to remove the stickers on the tank yet.
Thanks.
Chet B

Well, I got them off the bags using a combination of Murphy's Oil Soap and Fast Orange Hand Cleaner. Now, all that's left is the tank. I think I may heat the stickers slightly to soften the adhesive, hopefully making them easier to remove.

I'd go to one of your paint shops nearby and check with them on this one, paint is costly to repair! By the way, you indicated heat? How.

I got them all off. I used a hair dryer for heat. Set it on low. Also used a little goo gone on the stickers on the tank. They came off with no damage at all to the paint. It took a while though. Glad that job is done. Now all I have to do is wait till Spring!
