Try 303 aerospace protectant... Great on seats, all leather & car tires. I use it on my Road King to keep the white walls clean. Best product I have ever used ! Internet search and you"ll find plenty of places to buy it. Good luck to you!
This is the number one problem with Leather bags...Most people don't take proper care of them.
Leather must be moisturized to avoid craking. A good leather conditioner works wonders. Neatsfoot oil, mink-oil both work well
Saddlesoap is probably the best leather cleaner out there. It cleans, and adds needed oils.
Conditioning needs to be done on a regular basis (at least a couple times a year) I prefer to condition everytime I wash the bike. Bags still look new after 4 years.
Agree w/Trailfndr...try saddle soap, or Liebman's conditioner & snow proof to protect. I use snow proof on my jackets and works great. Sheds water like rain gear.
Mothers Leather Conditioner has neat's foot oil and other good stuff... you should be able to get it or order it through Ace Hardware, True Value Harware, and most NAPA, Carquest and other smaller auto parts stores... or online.
303 is an awesome product but leather is not its strong point. It is great for vinyl, rubber, plastic. It is a marine product so you might find it in a store like West Marine.
Leatherique gets the highest praises in the auto detailing circles. You might try Googling it.
Lexol...have used it with good results...and suppose to be 'the stuff'. there's a cleaner and a conditioner...Have heard to avoid mink oil and saddle soap...but forget the reasons why.
