Default RE: cleaning chrome

I grew up with this, it is the best and has been around forever !!

Simichrome Polish for Silver, Chrome, Aluminum, Gold, Brass and Copper Metal

Simichrome Polish quickly brings any metal to a high shine and retards tarnishing by leaving a thin protective coating. It removes heavy tarnish and polishes silver, chrome, aluminum, gold, stainless steel, pewter, and magnesium. Car and motorcycle owners use it to polish wheels, tailpipes, bumpers, and many other metal parts. Antique dealers use it on both plated and solid sterling silverware to quickly remove even black tarnish. Simichrome is non abrasive so it won't harm the metal.

Simichrome removes medium to light tarnish on brass and copper (i.e. if it has been cleaned in the last few years). To remove heavy tarnish from brass and copper, use Western Metal Doctor Brass and Copper Cleaner to remove the worst oxidation first, followed by Simichrome Polish to bring it to a high shine and protect it from re-tarnishing.
