Yes softners will clog the ends and cause streaking.You will also be amazed if you stop using fabric softners (silicone)on your bath towels. The will absorb so much better.Best if wash in something like Tide Free.
MF will be either 80/20 or 70/30.....70/30 being more expensive but that doesnt mean there are not quality 80/20 towels out there.
Normally your dozen towels for 10.00 and such from Walmart, Sams, etc are not used on paint. Ckeck the binding and corners to see how stiff they are. One test that is done is to use a MF on a CD...if it scratches the CD you dont want to use it on paint.

Also use a California mini-duster for quick dust removal.



The guy at my HD Stealership says that that California Duster will scratch the paint on my bike. What has beenyour experience?
