Default Microfiber towels

I've had some lying around for awhile but just used them today for the first time on a winter detailing. Loved them! I've always used cotton towels or sweatshirts. But they seemed to make a difference. I'm sold!

Micro Towels are great Joe. BUT if you'r one of those guys that got to get the rag busy after a ride they will easily melt on a hot exhaust.

Thanks for the tip, but no, I'm not that ****! I'll go a few rides before cleaning, depending on how many bugs are on the fairing.[:'(]

I'm a fan of micro fiber.

Also use a California mini-duster for quick dust removal.

Make sure you tear off the tag on any microfiber towel you use first. Belive it or not that little tag will reak havoc on black paint.

Thats one way to tell the quality of the towel.......the towels we buy have no tags.

Also don't dry them on any heat settings in the dryer. It will melt the plastic and cause them to scratch....

Sorry but if that is happening you have some very cheap mf blends. Even in the process of making MF and the dyes they are boiled. Quality MF has a heat rating of around 500 degrees.....if your dryer does that you are in trouble. Most will dry on a low heat setting so there is no static but static will be gone after towels are cold....a shake will release static anyway.
If you have "MF" that the ends curl I would not use it on paint.

Bought some "micro fiber towels" at Walmart and the tags on the towels says 80% polyester,20% polymide. Are these the real deal? Thanks.
