So the common belief I've noticed is 2-3 washes per season with a garden hose is sufficient. But what about in between? Do you just focus mainly on the fenders, tanks, and large chrome pieces? Spray down with some kind of spray detailer and wipe with a clean microfiber? Could it be that simple?

I use Meguires (SP) Qucik Detailer that I bought at Wal-Mart. Bike was covered in bugs from the weekend and took me about 30 mins to clean entire bike. I like the ease and shine of the bike afterwards.
