Default Sissy bar decision help...

here is the bike it will go on...


i like the looks of the 16 inch bar over the stock height. im trying to decide if i should go with chrome or black. here is the bar on ebay in the polished stainless chrome looking finish.

this or gloss black?

I gotta go with black...understated and old school, matches the mirrors too. i also like the black dash on the maroon bike. My chrome dash blinds me at certain times of day...going to powder coat it soon.

i went with the Chrome, but have plans on chroming the strut covers over the winter.

I went with the Kustom Krome unit, chromed my strut covers as well...

Got the new bar last in last night...now just need to find a day to install it.

any pointers to those who have either taken the stock sissy bar off or installed a new one?

is it a total tear down of the rear end to get the old one off? i cant find a lot of info on it except this thread.
