Been tossing around the idea of Progressive drop in springs for my 11 SB. Just want to keep the stock height. I see there is a "standard" and "heavy duty" version listed on their website, and wondered about people's opinions on either if anyone has experience with either? If there is some other options to toss in the ring feel free to mention them also. I don't have my heart set on the Progressives, just heard good things and the price is right.
I'm looking mostly to lose the nose dive. Wouldn't mind a better ride. I ride solo 100% of the time but I am a big (pushing 290) boy. I just ordered some Burly Slammers for the rear and will be installing them when they get here.
The Progressive drop-ins will make a great improvement for the money. I put a set in a Sporty I had and it was well worth the money. If you want to spend more, there are much better options as well. I'd call Progressive to see what they recommend at your weight.
But you're in for a Spine Jarring ride with them Burly's ... just saying.

I agree with everything above. I put a set of Progressives springs in the forks and 1" longer 440's in the rear. Vast improvement over stock for my Dyna.
Yeah, I know I'm looking for different ends of the spectrum on either end of my bike.
The reason I am looking at the Progressives is the price. It would seem pretty dumb to spend a bunch of money on the front forks to ride smooth, then put the Slammers on in the back. The Progressives are fairly inexpensive online.
Any opinions on heavy oil with the Progressives or lighter weight oil?
I am ordering Progressive fork springs for $90. for my SG. also going to change the fluid. Also replacing the rears with Progressives 412 stock length. Looking forward to an even better ride.

Up to you, but you might want to check out Amazon or Ebay. Found them for less expensive then that.
Your bike is gonna ride like a Soft Tail after that!
