For those who run after market calipers (e.g., JayBrake, Performance Machine, Hawg Halters, etc.), do they come with brake pads already installed or did you have to order brake pads when you ordered the calipers. Also, do they only accept proprietarily sized pads or do they accept standard H-D sized pads? If they have their own sizes, do brake pad companies like Lyndall, EBC, etc. support the unique size?
My jaysix came with pads, haven't had to replace them yet but I'm sure I'll be able to find Lyndalls for them... They're not the same pads that were in the stock calipers.
Do aftermarket calipers and pads get rid of that annoying clicking sound? Do you know what I'm referring to?
I'm not familiar with a clicking sound. My goal is to get rid of the annoying my-bike-takes-way-too-long-to-stop experience that scares the crap out of me when the car in front makes a sudden and unexpected stop.
