Ok, I had to turn it off, rocking in the free world is hard business don'cha know

Ok, I can dig it, something made you start this thread, I myself wonder what it was but I wonder about a lot of things.
I don't want people to think I am like, one-dimensional, I mean, I wonder more before 0900hrs than most people wonder all day.

Now in generalities, when you say "club" bikes are you sticking to tall bars as part of the description of "club" bikes? I just don't want to assume and say something stupid because as we (most, uh, many, well, maybe some here) all know, I never say anything stupid.

But if I were to assume, with my HD 1/4 fairing I would conclude from your tone that although I have a more "flat track" type bar you would quickly lump me in with the tall bar lot? Nez pa?

Don't get me wrong and no offense but you know of course two things:

A) Like how could what someone thinks bother me. Of course it doesn't, and I don't think you actually meant to offend any members. But if I'm wrong and you did then please be honest.

2) Here's the biggy: You, admit it, you and every swinging rickerpecker on this planet would take one look at my bike and start creaming their drawers

d) And fourthly, my bike rides like a magic carpet on rails! RAILS!!

My bike is bitching, it's a Bitching Dyna.

Don't anyone get me wrong, it's not like I hammered it together myself out of a lump of iron ore but I'm the one who has changed it from what it was.

I remember when I went to pick it up (burr, it was January) and I'm looking/drooling over it and I told the sales guy how incredible it was. And he was smiling and counting my money and going along with me but what he didn't know is what I saw when I looked at it compared to what he saw when he looked at it. I saw it like it is now.

Where was I?

Anyway, I wonder what peeves you about them?

Now, I don't know what your bike looks like, but I can tell you I'm sure I would dig it, and all bikes for that matter.

I wish the forum would make sig pics mandatory, it helps remember people, like the avatars but bikes are much cooler than avatars. Except you guys with the porno avatars. Which makes me think of Dolly Parton, say in the 80's

Where was I?

My bike is a ripper, a RIPPER!!

It's a gas, gas, gas

My bike is so fun to ride, it's under powered but it's still a hoot
I really, really need some cams though. I really, really, really want 135lbs of torque, I don't think that's asking to much.

I've got some LP bags on order, can't wait, killer!

Now, I joke about chrome, I mean, come on, who needs it!
But, out of all the bikes I've owned two of them were baggers (neither with a 87" front wheel), a RK (which I loved dearly) and an '08 UC, Suede Blue, nez pa!
What a chore that chrome was, shiny, pretty, but when you crack the chrome egg it's just a reflection of the world. It's not like it's a color, it's like it's own food group all by itself. I liked the chrome on those bikes but I like my Dyna by far the best so far.

Life is short and your's does not affect mine but I wish you happy riding and if you like your bike 1/10th as much as I love mine then you are one happy Mammer Jammer

My sig/pic was taken in the Snake River Canyon, Shoshone Falls to be precise.

Winters can get a bit nippy here.

I think you are suffering from a common type of 'confirmational bias' which is an entirely natural phenomenon.

Some people see Jesus on a piece of toast, others see Sons of Anarchy styled motorcycles everywhere ... it's largely depends on where your head is.

To be honest, I have not seen any. "Clubs" certainly don't ride them, you're more likely to see them on a dresser these days. The young "cool guys" are riding bobbers and retro choppers. I'd even go as far to say the idea that these are "Club style" is a myth.

What I see more of are folks willing to and enjoying riding a far wider selection of weird and wonderful and homemade than ever before. I even saw some guy out riding around proud with a Liberator fairing the other day!

Fashion goes through phases, those at the cutting edge tire quickly of it and move on but the influence of each wave washes back across society. Classic looks are refine, accepted as norms and stick. Largely I see what you are talking about as a positive thing as those style of bikes are functional for a change. You're probably just an 'early adopter' type who's reach their boredom threshold already.

If I was a cultural critic, I'd suggest that there was a connection between the current economic downside, austerity programs and a general depression within society that have turned tastes back from 'form over function', i.e. ridiculous and impractical style led vehicles, back to 'form following function', e.g. bare bones, plain black, lack of ostentatiousness.

And it will stick, like straight legged blue jeans have stuck, because it is highly practical.

BTW, is there some kind of meaning to the different bikes Jax rides, or does their continuity just suck. One moment he is on a Dyna, the next a Bagger ... I have not even been paying attention to whether they use realistic sound tracks for each bike.

Now there's something to be OCD about.

Nothing! Where does everyone get the idea that I'm knocking their bikes?? I just said they seem to be a "fad" because they're everywhere, and I was just curious as to when you all thought they would start fading away. Just like big wheel baggers, custom choppers, etc.

Now, I don't know what your bike looks like.....

Well, here ya go!

Lots of touchy people on here! LOL

That's funny, you put an exclamation point after "Nothing"

Lot's of touchy people on here for sure

Damn, that is a good looking bike, I have a cousin with one just like it.

It would look killer with a quarter fairing and ditch the chrome

Gotta respect a man with enough courage to leave a bike completely stock. The "fad" isn't going anywhere because it build makes sense. Get over it. This is probably the 10th time I've seen you post something about these bike trying to knock them. I've got a set of tbars I can sell you, I know how much you like them
