I kinda like it. Always thought the light on the FXD's were too small.

And the extra light on the road is never bad.
I could barely see anything, before. I don't ride at night much but sometimes I don't get home when I think I will...

uh . . if you can stand the HUGE, ridiculous looking seat, than the HUGE ridiculous looking headlight should be no issue at all!

Honestly man if you are happy, what does a bunch of opinions from a lot of knuckleheads (like me) matter?

Now that I see it with the bike, it looks good! I would like a larger diameter light. Is it just me, or is the light pointed down vs. straight out?

I think you're seeing the rake angle, there. It's aimed to light up the road properly. It doesn't LOOK like it will, but it does!

Maybe I should just run with the herd and buy a couple rattle cans of flat black... NOT!

You answered your own question, and that answer was, 'yes, it does look that bad.
It is always going to look 'that bad'.
Take it off and sell it to one of these losers that think it looks good!
You'll be happy and your bike will love you!

I think the light looks good, just needs a new mount to bring it down and back some. I personally think they look better centered between the trees.

Paint it gloss black to match your tank. It would look like it was meant to be.
