Handlebar controls question

I am adjusting the right side handlebar controls on my WG because they cause my wrist to bend too much. I can move them a little but the metal brake line running from the front brake master cylinder is starting to bend. Can I loosen the banjo bolt just enough so I can turn the controls some more without it leaking and getting air in the lines?
