I was rear ended on my new 2010 FXDC when it was only 4 days old. I had the dealer install the HD LED tail light when they were replacing the fender. It's no BAL, but it's better than stock. I then added the Custom Dynamics LED clusters to the rear turn signals (changed to red lenses), and the RBT module & load equalizer. The back of my bike is insanely bright. Couldn't be happier with the results. Something to think about. Good luck.
This is what I did. Custom Dynamics plate mounted directly to my fender on my bob. Did this for two reasons. Cleaner look and so I was able to mount my bags. Don't have a pic of the turns sigs but they're BRIGHT yellow and are on the vertical sides of the plate. They WILL be seen no problem. I also wired it so that the yellows come on with the brake light all at once without sacrificing the turn sigs. It's bright. I love it, and I'm sure the people behind me dont... But that's the point lol. I ride it to work once in awhile and I'm in traffic at 5am while it's still dark out. This definitely gets your attention when all of them are lit up. (thats just the taillight on in the pic with the afternoon sun directly on it and it's still that visible.)
That looks pretty interesting to me. Could you tell me how that mounts to the fender? Do you drill four holes for the corner bolts, or is there some kind of mount underneath?
I am going to call custom dynamics this morning and I really do like the turn signal and brake light all built into the license plate frame. I just need to see if I need curved or the flat one. I need to check on radius to see how close it will be.
I ordered the license plate light frame that has the turn in the sides and brake light in center. From custom dynamics. Since I don't have any wires back their right know since all that was removed it is not s big deal to solder new wires all in. I would like to see exactly where all the wires are supposed to be even be ran factory to stay away from tire and everything.
I had the rear fender off last night again and seen the sticky residue where there would of been plastic conduit ran but of course all been removed I wonder if I can buy that a local hardware store.

I just looked in my HD parts manual, you can buy that conduit with the self adhesive directly from your local HD Parts Dept.
