Default new streetbob

my wife started working at bpt harley davidson about 3 months ago doing bike rentals and stuff so she got into the bike license class and passed the course. Two days later the phone rings and she says is there room in the shed for a second bike (i ride an 05 rkcustom) and i said oh boy what did you do yep she bought a bike an 07 street bob so they prep it and install forward controls on it and it was all ready to go today so i take the king and meet her at the dealer and off we go she seemed a little nervous and i told her to relax and take it easy and off we went. About 4 blocks away from the house she dumps it up and over about an 8 inch curb and down she went thank god she was allright but she bent the rimm no other damage to the bike other than a clunk in the front legs when on a quick stop so its going back to the dealer to get it fixed hopefully they can do something for her under warranty i asked her over and over if she was ok she said yes got back on the bike and rode it home what ever went wrong hopefully she learned from it and wont do it again my nerves cant take that stuff you know especially when its your wife not a good feeling but like i said she is fine and will be able to ride another day here in CT riding season is coming slow old man winter wont let go here it is mid april and the weather man said wet snow sunday into monday go figure any way to those that are allready riding have a safe riding season

You hear of a lot of first timers dumping their bikes. We have 2 ladies at work and one of them is always laying the bike down.

Things that are second nature to those of us that have ridden a while are things that newbs have to concentrate on. Sounds like she's headed in the right direction by haveing the guts to get up and keep going.[sm=biker.gif]

Glad she's ok.

Oh, check out this button . it's called a period and will end sentences for you! Then you can get fancy with things like ! and ?. I'm still gasping for air after reading that one long sentence! [8D]

Glad she's OK - and good luck with warranty. Can't really visualize how an 8" curb fits into the picture?

Dude - is the period key busted on your computer?

I know exactly how you feel dude. Went through that with my wife a few times. Last year she sold her 650 for a new 1200L. She dropped it once and felt like crap about it. Were up here in Tolland, CT. PM me if you ever head up this end of the state.
