Anyone have experience with Hagon shocks?
I heard about the brand the other day and I like the prices but I'm a believer in "you get what you pay for" so I'm just curious about the quality.
I was looking at the Nitro's initially but I think they may be overkill. I like to ride playful in the twisties but you won't find me going 100+ (too often ) or poppin wheelies. So I was looking more into the Hagon 2810's.
Let me know your thoughts!
Hagon has had a decent reputation for years overseas. Not as good as Ohlins or Works but reasonably priced. If I'd known a year ago they were importing I probably would have bought them instead of the Progressive 440's I bought. However, Hagon's are probably very similar in quality to Progressive. I agree that 2810's sound like they would work for your usage and would be a vast improvement over stock.
I've have a set of the Nitros on for about 8,000 miles. They take a few weeks to get in but the spring is set up for your weight, and for less than $500 I think there great. Hagons are really big in the English bike world, just because you don't spend $1000 dollars don't mean there not good. I did go with the 13 inch shock instead of the stock 12.5, it doesn't bottom and along with my heavier fork springs and the Ricor Intimidators my Dyna handles great.

Hows that front end on the crappy roads around here. I'm planing on doing that same mod this winter. I just dont want it to be too harsh.

Not harsh at all, it tracks great on rough roads of course we have a ton of those in PA. Everyone who rides it loves it, of course I run a pretty heavy spring because I'm a tad hefty!!
Hey tonebone I see you have done a few more mods on your ride. I have thought about ordering the SE clutch spring, what's your thoughts on it? I also see your running the TTS Mastertune, I have the PCV and the guy at Pocono Mountain Harley wanted me to change over to the TTS when I do cams, do you like the TTS? I also have started getting parts together for my duel disk conversion this winter, I think its one of the best mods for a Dyna.

yeah! i had a busy summer, LOL. I really like the heavier clutch feel. I put that on when I converted back to mids and changed to a 70t rear pulley while I was in there. Together they made for a good bump in performance...as for the tts I can't really compare it to other tuners since it's the only tuner I've ever had but Dave @ Pocono tuned it for me and I'm really happy with it. Im planning on installing a '14 fxdl right fork slider when I do the front suspension this winter then this will put me step closer to dual disk brakes.

I have a set of Hagon Nitros on my FXDF. They are excellent shocks and completely change the back end. Fully adjustable for preload and damping.
I put 13" units on my bike and there's no more bottoming out over big bumps. Rides like a dream.
The Nitros are available in "regular" and piggyback versions - but if you want piggyback, the minimum shock length is 13.5" I think. Hagen say no difference in performance unless you are actually racing the bike at pro level!
The Nitros are about half the price of Progressives in the UK - but probably more in the US. I'd equate the Nitros to the 970s, and the 2810s to the 440s there or thereabouts.
Hagen are very popular in the UK - not just for cruisers but also for sport bikes. I would certainly recommend them.
